Platinum Member Video Lessons are different from the "Play Through" videos here. They are detailed note for note instructions, in a simple to follow formula that breaks down the material into smaller and easier to learn sections. They walk you through the subtleties and essentially address everything from a private lesson, but in video format.
Each lesson page includes a discussion section, so if you like you can ask questions, and see previous questions and answers regarding the lesson. You can also contact me directly via email. I consider every Platinum Member to be a private student of mine, and I'm here to help you the best I can.
If you prefer to use tab with your lessons you will also have access to the Platinum Member Tabs Library. I personally lift and tab everything myself and take great pride in the accuracy of its content.
You can stop wasting precious practice time hunting through 1000's of videos and tabs that are riddled with errors and incomplete - as 90% of the guitar instruction options online are today, and start learning to play it right!
The Platinum Member Video Lessons and Tabs are exclusive to L.T.P.I.R - Guitar Lessons, and are not embedded from other websites. All of the Video Lessons have studio quality audio and are in High Definition. The players support most devices (except IOS version 9 and earlier) and will choose the optimum resolution dynamically based on the bandwidth capability of your internet connection. You will also need a PDF reader to view and download the tabs at your convenience. Please select below to watch sample clips from:
Going Down Solo 1 - Freddie King Lesson
Blue Jean Blues Solo 2 - ZZ Top Lesson
Jam Track #3 - Slow Blues Lead Tips Lesson
The Platinum Member libraries have many hours of instruction to keep you advancing as a guitarist, and are indexed by both artist name and song title. These are the current titles available, by song and section, with new lessons being uploaded regularly.

I’ve been a platinum member for several years. This is an awesome guitar site. Wanna be a solid guitar player? Start at the top of the video lessons and work your way through the entire list. You’ll develop every style. Stop jumping from site to site hoping to be better. This one is all you need. Alternate the arpeggio section and scales. There’s no other site like this one. Thank you Brad for all you’ve done. Michael
You are so good at explaining things! And the quality of the videos are superb. It’s thrilling to me to learn from your lessons, which are truly expanding what I understand and what I can do on the guitar. Thank you so much.
Where has this site been all my life? I’ve learned so much in so little time since I subbed. Thank you for these wonderful lessons you have a fan for life.
awesome! love it……. worth every penny
Yes this website is the best for learning. I love the way you can take it real slow or at 60% which is awesome or full speed. Plus the tab. It’s outstanding been chasing this for a long time. I can feel myself closing in on it now. Thank you so much I suggest everyone join the Platinum Program OUTSTANDING!!! DAVE
Just finished learning the Hotel California Solo awesome teaching 10/10
Hi everybody!, Paul from Rhode Island, I just joined after watching the intro lesson to Lazy, you got me hooked. I signed up for 3 months to test out the waters, so to speak. By looking at what you have to offer, I’ll certainly be busy for a while.
thank you
So far so good!! I came across this on youtube and I was curious for more. I was a tad skeptical about signing up but no regrets so far!! I love the approach and it works great for me as I am an intermediate guitar player. I have always struggled a bit learning solos through just tab alone, while I always did get them in the long run with some difficulty, I find my lead playing is taking off through this site and Brad’s work. I appreciate the time and effort Brad put into this site and teaching. I look forward to diving into some other areas of theory and such later but for now I’m just enjoying the classics!! I feel I’ll be a member a lot longer than I expected lol.
Wow, great job, General! and you save me money on car insurance…. o bad joke, but still! Your playing is spectacular and your instruction is second to none that I’ve seen. I’m only two years into the instrument so still struggling thru the myriad of scales and positions and keys, I suspect like every beginner, but my techniques has improved tons with your help. So much appreciation for you and all your hard work.
4 years ago I Picked up my ol’ guitar again after a 40-plus year hiatus. I started looking around online, and did lots and lots of research, and found Brad’s site. It came highly recommended by many players who did the rounds of other on-line lesson sites. As soon as I checked out the videos on a wide assortment of my favorite tunes, broken down note by note, by a very talented and dedicated instructor, I was hooked. Unfortunately a few years back, I had an accident. I fractured my fretting hand at the wrist in several places and almost lost my pinky. Brad, worked with and kept me from giving up practicing with alternate styles. He suggested a slide, and finger exercises suited to help get me back to playing it right. This whole experience continues to be the best therapy I ever received and I’m very grateful! My only regret was not finding Learn to Play it Right sooner in life. Thanks again Brad!
Excellent lessons and teaching style. Thanks
I’m so happy i came across you on youtube. Thank you so much for all your hard work man.
Wow! just doesn’t get better
Thanks Brad!.. You’ve got the best and most accurate lessons out!.. I’ve been playing on and off for years, but learning my favorite lead solos to tunes I’ve loved forever has helped my overall playing skills significantly.
Thanks much!

Blown away with your playing, and the overall structure and breakdown of the guitar parts, not to mention the choice of songs! Your catalog includes every song I have wanted to learn. Your site is A+++
Sic! That is all. Love the site, keep it up
I have only been playing for 2 years. At the young age of 48 I don’t move as fast as I used to. Your lessons are perfect and I am amazed at how much I have advanced in the few days being here. Melissa has been a long time want but I just couldn’t do the leads. Now I am. Thank you very much. I am here for the long haul.
Cant thank you enough……
Awesome.
An excellent teacher, to be sure. Some people were/are just made to teach, and you’re no exception. Your so spot on!
Great Site, Great Lessons. Thank you for taking the time to put all this together. Much appreciated.
Just joined yesterday, working on Melissa solo, unbelievable how good ur lesson is, will stay with you forever, lol jp
After searching the internet for lessons I stumbled onto your site. This is the absolute best site I have found for learning guitar. The way you break everything down, and explain it so clearly, just the best. Now excuse me while I get to your chromatic scale handout, my studying for the next week. I can’t emphasize how much I’m learning from your lessons, the best, Thank You!
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Seriously…. I’ve been working on the hotel california lessons for a little over three weeks and it’s been an awesome journey. This piece pushed my skill set but because I was able to study your video over an over again I’ve managed pretty well. I take weekly lessons but I’ve found that my teacher has a certain repertoire that he is excellent at teaching and anything outside that he’s less enthusiastic about. Your lessons are a genius way to supplement my studies and I’d recommend them to any student of the guitar who wants to play any of the songs you’ve got worked up. Bravo. One month of access to your site is the best money I’ve spent on my studies. Thanks for helping this 40 year old tear it up!
Brad,
I would like to take the time to say that for the 6 months I have been a member here this site has been well worth the money. Your patient, humble and attentive approach is much appreciated. Above all you know what the heck you’re talking about.
Thank you!
Best instruction I’ve seen so far. I’ve seen so many instructors give a flurry of fast playing notes to show how good they are and leave you to figure it out. You on the other hand really break it down. I’m glad I joined. . robert
Best guitar instruction on the internet
Wow, this site is so worth the money.
Brilliant lessons, explaining extremely well done – really enjoying. Very good site, lots to learn. Thanks
Your lessons are the BEST I’ve seen online. Please keep up the great work.
Doesn’t get any better than this! Period!
New member as of a few weeks ago. Your site and lessons are incredible. Every lesson I’ve reviewed so far is spot on and out of the park! Thanks for your superb instruction.
Thanks man! Your lessons are awesome!
Wow, what a great guitar teacher! Your playing and teaching is spot on! I’m a self taught guitar player for many years and never seemed to get over that “hump”. Oh, this is going to do it! Thanks Brad. Sincerely, Bill
I just joined the site and am very happy with your format and teaching style. Easy to understand and implement!
Thanks!
Best lessons on the internet!
Just joined. The site is great. The lessons are great. I have already upped my playing…… congrats on creating such a terrific tool. I wish I had more time to practice. You CAN teach an old dog some new tricks.
Thanks a million.
This is truly helpful! Thanks so much for this service. Karl Habighorst
Hey Brad,
Best site I have found, you are an excellent guitarist and teacher. Thanks for your hard work!
Patrick
I know tons of songs and basic lead structure but learning proper leads has been great for me. Jessica, Santana and Stevie Ray Licks have got me picking up my guitar WAY more than before. I get up early and practice now because I’m motivated. Thanks Brad for a great site!
This is by far one of the best sites i’ve been on Thanks!

I recently picked up the guitar again after years of neglect and rusty is an understatement. A couple of months of basically playing the stuff I knew when I found Brads site… I don’t think I’ve progressed as quickly since I started playing at 16. Great communication and got a pretty obscure request on the site within the month. I think that if you’ve got this far and are reading this, you know you’re sh*t and are about to become a member anyway!
Thanks again Brad!
Great site Brad. I’m so glad I decided to join. I’m re-learning guitar after about 23 years. I’ve learned so much after just a short time. I never expected to make such rapid progress. My passion for playing has been reborn. I can’t seem to put down my guitar, thanks to you.
The name of the site says it all! LEARN TO PLAY IT RIGHT 🙂
I found this site in my search for Guitar Lessons on David Gilmour’s solos and I was surprised by so many other awesome solos of all the time that now I’d like to learn them all. Plus there are tons of lessons on theory, scales, chords, techniques, etc. I have tried so many other sites, but this site beats all the other sites, at least for me. It just has all you need to learn in a very well structured way. Solo lessons are awesome, Brad breaks the solos lick by lick with tabs as well as Fast and Slow practice videos which are extremely valuable for practice. And more importantly, he tries his best to make lessons on your song requests :o) I have a membership at JP, and I still prefer this site by far.
HI! I have to say this is a really great value for the money! Excellent videos where you’re really shown how do get the style, sound and tricks, which have always been a mystery to me. Getting them to sound just right by also reading the tabs. Sometimes some professional players show it too quickly in the videos, whether how to play that part or song – like everyone has already mastered those different styles and techniques. You also learn at the same time more about reading tabs, how the’re really meant to be played, even those strange marks! (especially when English is not your home language). I would have to work with this site for at least one year, maybe more, if I wanted to master everything here! Great work! I have never become fast, but it´s because it’s not fun for me to spend hours and hours practicing finger exercises, and picking techniques. Fun is learning to play songs and practicing them for hours! That´s enough for me. and that´s why I like to play. You really have to work sometimes to learn solo´s at the right speed, but that´s more rewarding practice than playing nothing other than up and down the fret board every day, for many hours. The world is full of many great technique players, so someones is always faster than you are. Here I can learn things from different´s styles and many have said that one of the most important things to learn is a variety! If you can play many styles, then you can play almost anything with anyone you want, and that´s where your own voice comes in and starts to take shape. Thank you for this site! You’ve got one faithful member, at least for a year or two!.. maybe a lifetime :)!!
themarko.
I really like the way you take additional time to explain the more difficult licks. Keep ’em coming.
Brad, thanks for doing all these great songs like Allman Bros. Blue Sky, Pink Floyd and Bob Marley. It is easier to learn with the way you teach, not a lot of talk….just a lot of playing the guitar.
Because of you, I’m learning stuff I’ve always wanted to know. I wonder if I’ll ever be able to train my ear to do what you do. Anyway I really appreciate all your hard work, you are amazing!
Brad you are doing a great job with https://www.learntoplayitright.com. The lessons are very accurate and I have learned quite a lot from you. I really appreciated you taking the time to create a lesson for the solo in the song Lights by Journey that I requested. I was able to play it through in a couple of sessions. You break the solos down in to manageable segments. There are quite a few guitar sites out there now and it’s really hard to find something good that doesn’t cost a fortune. I would recommend this site to anyone interested in improving their soloing technique. Keep up the good work!
Thanks again Frank.
Hey All, I have been using this site for about 4 months, I stumbled across it looking to learn Red house. There are so many you-tube folks that think they have it down but I knew better. I clicked on the learn to play it right version and I was blown away!! finally someone had it right! and in a format i could learn from. I became a member instantly and now play it pretty well. I am pleased to be a member here and hope to see it grow. Thanks to Brad. Be well ALL!!
Hey Brad, Thanks again for your help with everything. You are awesome man! I look forward to relearning things I have forgot and new stuff that I want to play fluidly. Your almost personal instruction via video and email is the only way to go. There are so many “lessons” and teachers on the net, and after much research and trial and error, I am fortunate to have found my way here. Those of you looking for guitar instruction, please take my advice and learn from my errors. Join this site as a platinum member and you will find what you are looking for. To think how much money I have spent on “methods” of instruction and the “fastest way to proficiency”, makes me sick, since I could have spent 1/10th, and saved tremendous amounts of cash if I found this site quicker.
Anyway, thanks again Brad for your help and willingness to ensure we all have a great experience, and I anxiously await new videos and lessons from your nimble fingers! (although there is enough up here already to keep me busy for years)
Bruce
