"Come When I Call" was originally released on the B-side to "Who Did You Think I Was", the debut single by the John Mayer Trio from their first album, Try! (2005). The John Mayer Trio is a blues rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 2005, comprising of singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer, bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan. "Come When I Call" did not appear on the album Try!, but was frequently played throughout the trio live performances, and was also released on the album "Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles", a live album and concert released on July 1, 2008. The album documents Mayer's performance at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on December 8, 2007."
